Members of IUNVA Post 29 Carlow participate at the recent Garda Peace Mass held in Carlow Cathedral recently.
A number of organisations were present and officiated in the ceremony along with the Garda members representing the Civil Defence, Order of Malta, Scouts, Fire Brigade
Mayor of Carlow County Council Tom O’Neill, Jennifer Murnane O’Connor TD and Cathaoirleach of Carlow Andrea Dalton were in attendance
On Monday 1st January 2024 in the Cathedral Carlow IUNVA Post 29 members attended and participated in the Garda Peace Mass. The Garda Superintendent Anthony Farrell and Bishop Dennis Nulty thanked the Post for their part in the Mass where we proudly marched to the alter with the flags before communion, the flag bearers were Dan Carroll, Joe Doyle, Paddy Doyle and Hugh Kelly
At the end of Mass Dan Carroll the Post Chairman collected a peace candle from the Bishop for our post
