A big thank you to Paul McGuire of the Military Museum in Carlow on supplying IUNVA Post 29 Carlow a space within the Museum to facilitate a drop in centre for our veterans.
This facility will help our Post gain members along with showcasing and promoting IUNVA to the general public. With the Museum open Monday – Wednesday – Friday and Sunday each week, gives us a great opportunity to increase exposure of our organisation and in doing so, we hope to catch new members in the future.
On Sunday 14th May, the Chairman, Dan Carroll, Secretary, John Kelly along with Martin Foley and Charlie Callinan attended the Military Vehicle display that was showcased along with Military uniforms and Memorabilia, was a great opportunity to officially open our drop in centre at the Museum. Jennifer Murnane O’Connor also paid a visit and was delighted to see IUNVA Post 29 have a spot within the Museum that will help develop the membership and increase awareness
Photos below show the success of the day and we thank all our veterans who supported the event and we look forward to welcoming new members in the future
Charlie Callinan presented a photo of himself from his trip to the Congo where it will be on display in our space within the museum
