7 July 2018: Royal British Legion annual ceremony of remembrance,  Islandbridge, Dublin 8 – Decade Of Centenaries

 

The Royal British Legion Republic of Ireland requests the honour of your presence, and that of the members of your organisation, at our Annual Commemoration and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at The Irish National War Memorial Gardens at Islandbridge, Dublin on Saturday, 9th July 2022.  This annual event commemorates those who lost their lives in the World Wars, in particular the estimated 60,000 Irish men and women from all parts of the Island of Ireland, who served and died in those conflicts. 

The ceremony will commence at 12.30 pm with a parade of the Standards of Royal British Legion, Regimental and Ex-Services organisations.  This will be followed by an Ecumenical Service of Remembrance and laying of wreaths.  

All guests should be in their seats by 12.20 pm, in readiness for the ceremony beginning at 12.30 pm. The ceremony is expected to conclude by 2.30 pm.  Afterwards, light refreshments will be provided at the Memorial Park site.  We hope that you will join us there.
